Orlando Car Accident Kills Teen Injures Six Others

A Florida car crash resulted in the death of a teenage boy and injured six others in a one-vehicle accident involving a sport utility vehicle (SUV). The Orlando car accident took place at approximately 1:20 AM on Saturday morning, October 24, 2009.

The crash occurred at the intersection of E. Michigan Street and Center Avenue in the Orlando area when the SUV that Brandon Wesley Wise, 17, of Orlando, was driving rolled over on its side, killing the teenager.

Wise was traveling eastbound in a 1997 Jeep along Michigan Street in the left lane when he attempted to make a left turn onto Center Avenue. According to Orlando police Sgt. Barb Jones, the SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed causing the Jeep to overturn. The SUV eventually came to rest on its side in a parking lot of a business near the intersection.

According to reports, Wise was pronounced dead at the scene. He was reported to have been wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.

There were six other passengers in the SUV that Wise was driving. They are all from Orlando and all suffered minor injuries.

Jones said that Wise is the 22nd person to die in Orlando this year due to a traffic accident.

The Florida car accident is still under investigation by local authorities.
